How pricing works on Foreverly

When you pick a date and a guest count, we build a whole wedding at that venue: the space, food, bar, the outside vendors you would still need, and a buffer for the things nobody prices (stationery, attire, hair and makeup, gratuity, the marriage license). Then we add it up. That total is our opinion of what a wedding there would run you. It is not a quote, and no venue or vendor has agreed to honor it.

Only the business can quote you. Confirm the number with them before you sign anything or put down a deposit.

Under every number is a short line saying where it came from. Here is what each one means.

From the venue's own rates

The business claimed its profile and entered or confirmed its pricing on Foreverly. We price your date and guest count from those rates, then add typical costs for the outside vendors you would still need.

From their published rates

The business has not joined Foreverly yet. Our team typed in the pricing it publishes on its own website or materials, and we price your wedding from that. The business has not reviewed or confirmed those numbers here.

Based on similar venues nearby

We have no pricing from this business at all. The number is what similar weddings around here tend to cost, built from other venues and vendors in the area. Treat it as a ballpark, not a price for this place.

• The venue's booking option or rental for your date, priced from their rates when we have them.
• Food and bar for your guest count, from the venue's menus or a typical caterer nearby.
• Outside vendors (photo, video, DJ, florals, planning and so on) at typical local prices. These lines are marked estimated and are never a quote from that vendor.
• An extras buffer for the rest of the day, sized to the wedding.
• The venue's service charge and tax, when the venue has told us what they are. The line under the number says so.

• A venue's service charge or tax when we do not have it on file. The line under the number then says "before the venue's service charge and tax." Many venues add 18% to 22%, so ask.
• Gratuity you choose to leave, and minimum spends a venue enforces on certain dates.
• Rate changes a business has made that it has not told us about.
• Anything you add or upgrade once you are talking to them.

As accurate as we can make it, and we work at it. Venues that have joined enter their own rates. For venues that have not, our team types in the pricing they publish and keeps it current venue by venue. The rest is modelled. Pricing moves with the season, the day of the week, and what you pick, so the number is a very good starting point and never a signed quote.

Some venue and vendor pages on Foreverly were built by us from public information before the business joined. Those pages say so at the top. The business has not reviewed them and is not affiliated with Foreverly. When you message one of those businesses or request a tour, we forward it to the contact information on their public listing, and they reply directly. It can take longer than a venue that is on Foreverly.

If you run a business and a price, a photo, or anything else on your page is wrong, or you want the page taken down, use the listing report form and a real person will sort it out, usually within two business days. If you would rather run the page yourself, you can claim it for free. Couples who spot a mistake can use the same form.
