Chaises is two rattan bistro chairs of our own, painted in gouache: cream cane seats and backs, a garland of white roses looped between them, and a blank cream heart hung on a ribbon from the back of each. Your initials go in the hearts, one on each chair, and your first names are set large beneath in Bodoni with a small italic “and” between them; add a photograph and it hangs above the chairs in a brass-rimmed oval. The reply card says “Pull up a chair”, every guest finds their name by a chair of their own, the table numbers are lettered on a heart sign, and every sign has the two chairs at its head. Sage as painted, or blush, terracotta, or black chairs on a bistro black ground.
