Cue is a pool table seen from directly above, drawn clean and flat. The card is the felt, framed by its rail with the pearl diamonds set in it and the pockets cut into the corners. Three balls have come to rest on your date, the cue ball rolled back below them, and your names run across the felt in wide Archivo capitals. The invitation is set clean under a racked triangle, the reply card says “Call your shot”, the menu numbers its courses on balls, the program is the order of play, every place card is a ball carrying the guest’s table, and every table number is a big black ball. Green, pink, powder blue, burgundy or navy felt.
