Highlighter is a crisp type card with a lot of air: your first names large in a fine serif, flush left, the wording in small lower-case letters a phrase to a line, and a chisel-tip highlighter swiped under the words that matter. The swipes are drawn like the real thing, a little uneven, streaky where the ink ran thin, cut on the slant at each end, and every card has its own: under your names and your date, under KINDLY REPLY, THANK YOU, each guest’s name on the place cards and each course on the menu. With a photograph, your black and white picture sits at the head of the card with a swipe across its foot. Lime, pink, tangerine and sky on warm white, or a lime swipe on black.
