Minhwa is painted after Korean folk painting on warm hanji paper: pink and red peonies, the flower of Korean wedding screens, by a blue-green garden rock, and two red-crowned cranes in flight, a pair for life, under soft stylised clouds. Your names sit in the open paper between them. As painted, on blush or jade paper, or in ink alone.
